Chris Andrew’s Charlie Brown Christmas

Saturday, December 6th

In 1965, Peanuts creator and illustrator, Charles Schultz, teamed up with jazz composer, Vince Guaraldi, and the movie “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was born. It’s been an essential part of Christmas celebrations ever since. Producer Les Mendelson said, “I think the music made the show successful because it made it adult-like and child-like, and we wanted the show to appeal to all ages.”

So, whether you are adult-like or child-like, join us as outstanding Canadian pianist, Chris Andrew (Galaxie Rising Star Award), joins with Aretha Tillotson on bass (WCMA Jazz Artist of the Year,) Jamie Cooper on drums and Andrea House on vocals to bring us the music from “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Youth tickets are available, please email ed@buckingjampalace.com to inquire.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
