Big Little Lions and DoubleSuede

Saturday, October 25th

The Chinook Musical Society’s third show of the 2025-26 season on Saturday, Oct 25th features Big Little Lions with opener DoubleSuede!

Big Little Lions are the award-winning duo of Paul Otten and Helen Austin. They have released 7 albums to date, which have garnered them numerous awards and nominations including a Juno, CFMA Ensemble of the Year, Independent Music Awards Americana Song of the Year and John Lennon Songwriting Competition Song of the Year.

DoubleSuede is a modern blending of the classic sounds of 50’s & 60’s Rock and Country. This duo features a hard to describe sound because you can’t believe it’s only two musicians performing. The Calgary Herald says, “Calgary’s DoubleSuede breathes new life into old-school country, rock and rockabilly”

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
