Join Calgary-based writer Jacqueline Louie for a presentation and reading from her new book, ‘Honouring the Gold Mountain Dreamers’, which looks back at the 100+plus years since the passing of the 1923 Chinese Immigration Act; the challenges faced by the early Chinese immigrants to Canada; and some of the contributions that Chinese Canadians have made to Edmonton, Alberta and Canada.
