Art for Conservation
Our province is full of breathtaking vistas and charismatic creatures that don’t just deserve to be protected – they deserve to be celebrated! The Lotus Art Gallery is proud to team up with CPAWS Northern Alberta to bring you “Art For Conservation”. A co-curated exhibit by visual artists, Mariam Qureshi and Josh Harnack, highlighting some of Alberta’s awe-inspiring wilderness through the eyes of the local artists. Join us let’s talk about art and the importance of protecting nature for future generations to cherish and how we go about doing that here in Alberta.
See an art piece you like? Proceeds from each art sale will help to support CPAWS programs that are working to keep national parks and animals wild, forever.
Opening Reception: Friday September 6, 2019 from 7 pm – 10pm.
Special Guest Presentation: Kecia Kerr, Executive Director of Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) – Northern Alberta Chapter.
