Anna Pietrzak

Anna Pietrzak is a versatile guitarist, pedagogue, adjudicator and recording artist. A laureate of over a dozen European guitar competitions, she has performed extensively as a soloist, and with chamber music ensembles and orchestras in Poland, Austria, China, France, Spain, Canada, Germany, Hungary and other countries. Anna received her PhD degree from the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, Poland, where she studied with professors Piotr Zaleski and Marek Zieliński. She also holds a graduate degree from the Conservatory of Music in Piraeus, Greece, and perfected her skills in master classes held by Aniello Desiderio, Joaquin Clerch, Carlo Domeniconi, Pavel Steidl and others. To date she has released three albums: La Catedral, a recording of twentieth-century guitar music, the crossover GITANA Electric – Eclectic, and Farewell, on which she performs in a guitar duo with her brother Łukasz Pietrzak. Anna currently lives in Poland, where she teaches students of all ages, from beginner to university level. Many of her students have been laureates of national and international guitar competitions.
