Allistair Elliott

With rich, smooth, yet intense sound, whether on vocals or trumpet, Allistair Elliott instantly connects with his audience. Through music, his ability to connect to strangers who quickly become friends takes every audience on a magical transcendent experience. His award winning second CD, Urban Nights, released on Chronograph Records, feels like Miles Davis, meets Chris Botti with vocals by Sting.  A new recording is almost complete and will be released shortly.

Starting at the age of 13, he excelled at the classical side of the trumpet, performing in London England, and also Vienna, Austria by the age of 17. Allistair moved to England  to continue his studies where he received his music degree from Leeds College of Music, the same school that produced the Grammy nominee, Corrine Bailey Rae.

His performing credits include The Drifters, The Temptations, R&B legend, Lou Pride, England’s jazz giant, John Dankworth, and The Supremes, just to name a few. He has opened for sax great, Joshua Redman, toured with the internationally renowned Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and shared the stage with Saturday Night Lives’ Lenny Pickett, and rock legends, Honeymoon Suite. He has toured Europe, Australia and Brazil and now resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
