Albertans United in Song

Monday, September 1st

This year marks the 120th anniversary of Alberta joining Confederation—a milestone worth celebrating!

September 1 is the official date of Alberta’s entry into Confederation, making it the perfect occasion to host a concert that honours Alberta’s rich cultural heritage and showcases the incredible talent of Alberta artists.

All artists in the lineup are proudly Alberta-based!

Concert Lineup:

  • Toni Vere – A thought-provoking singer-songwriter with a powerful message.
  • Mallory Chipman & Brent Hansen – A dynamic duo from Edmonton, recently returned from touring.
  • The Carolyn Harley Band – Featuring Steve Goodchild, Laurie Anne Fuhr, and special guest fiddler Bruce Rohn.
  • The Delirium Street Party Brass – A lively brass ensemble performing arrangements of songs written by Alberta women.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
