โ‹†หšเฟ” UwU ๐œ—๐œšหšโ‹† by Molly JF Caldwell

Friday, January 17th

โ‹†หšเฟ” UwU ๐œ—๐œšหšโ‹† by Molly JF Caldwell is exhibiting in The New Galleryโ€™s Main Space from January 17 – March 9, 2025.

Join us on January 17th from 7-9PM at The New Gallery for the opening reception of โ‹†หšเฟ” UwU ๐œ—๐œšหšโ‹†.

What lies beneath the surface level naivety of a cute aesthetic? Showcasing whimsical, fun-loving, soft-hearted, and charming artworks; Molly JF Caldwell brings together the works of artists Michelle Le, Robyn Mah, Mantis Mei, and Morgan Strom. Caldwell creates an environment that invites viewers to release their inhibitions and embrace the playful and adorable interactive landscape within the gallery, while confronting perceived notions of her own identity regarding cuteness, disidentification, and ornamentalism.

Molly JF Caldwell is a Yonsei textile artist interested in soft materials, soft experiences, soft approaches, and soft futures. Graduating from the Alberta University of the Arts in 2017, she lives and works in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB). She is passionate about Marxist feminism, dogs, and Mariah Carey.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
