Lisa Wilton first tried her hand at broadcasting in the 1990s when she hosted shows on Calgary’s university radio station, CJSW 90.9 FM.
It’s not surprising she was drawn to radio: her grandfather was a producer of the popular CBC Radio program, The Celtic Heart, during the 1950s.
After studying journalism in Calgary, she went on to work for The Calgary Sun as a theatre critic, music writer and entertainment reporter for several years before moving to London, England in 2004.
Upon her return, Lisa worked in the record industry and as a TV writer/producer before continuing her print writing career.
She is thrilled to now host The Takeaway every Saturday night since it allows her to share with listeners her eclectic musical taste.
