Fresh sounds and CKUA favourites coming to evenings and weekends.
CKUA fans have been asking: When’s Monica coming back?
And here’s the answer: July 4th.
We’re delighted to announce that Monica Miller and How I Hear It return to the CKUA schedule at a new time: 6pm to 8pm MT, Monday through Thursday. Monica will sweeten your evenings with a mix made for mellowing and marvelling. And on Wednesdays at 7pm MT, she’ll bring you a taste of how they hear it as she explores the personal playlists of fascinating guests from around Alberta and across the country. Tune in for Mixtape, starting July 6th.
And we’ve got a couple more changes in store on Sundays, starting July 10th.
Adding to the solid foundation of Play It Again and Folk Routes, we’ll be keeping the music going and continuing the roots ’n’ vintage vibe with a new lineup of shows that just feel right together.
- Noon – 1pm MT: In the Pines — Peter North’s bluegrass show moves from Thursdays.
- 1pm – 2pm MT: Roy’s Record Room — Roy Forbes makes the jump from Monday with his vinyl treasures.
- 2pm – 3pm MT: The Old Disc Jockey — John Worthington brings us more of the old records, but starting an hour later.
- 3pm – 4pm MT: Voices in Jazz — Dianne Donovan and her vocal masterpieces will also start an hour later.
As always, I welcome your feedback. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great summer!
