This week, Leeroy dedicates a show to the storied, sinuous journey of Barney Bentall.

The singer-songwriter reflects on coming up in the music world of the 90s and the cutthroat competitiveness of the era.  He’ll speak on taking a break from the life to raise cattle, until he was lured back to the studio by Jim Cuddy and Blue Rodeo.

The result was his first solo album in five years, The Drifter and The Preacher, featuring collaborations with Cuddy, John Mann and Bentall’s son, Dustin Bentall. Join Leeroy for a discussion on what went into making the album after his hiatus, and the experience of raising kids in a life of music.

Tune in to the Dirty Windshields Radio Hour Saturday at noon to hear it.
